Data Availability and Research Integrity Policy
The International Journal of Fundamental Research and Development is committed to promoting transparency, reproducibility, and integrity in scholarly research. Authors are expected to uphold high standards in the collection, analysis, reporting, and sharing of research data.
Research Integrity
Authors must present their findings accurately and honestly. Fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, or any form of data manipulation is regarded as serious misconduct and is not accepted by the journal. All results should reflect the actual outcomes of the research without distortion.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the data supporting their conclusions are reliable and that the methods used are described in sufficient detail to allow others to understand and, where appropriate, replicate the work.
Data Availability
Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying their published findings available whenever possible. A clear Data Availability Statement should be included in the manuscript. This statement should indicate whether the data are openly available, available upon reasonable request, or subject to restrictions (for example, due to privacy, ethical, or legal considerations).
Where data cannot be shared openly, authors should explain the reasons and, where feasible, provide information on how the data may be accessed under controlled conditions.
Data Retention
Authors are expected to retain the primary data supporting their published work for a reasonable period after publication. This allows the data to be made available for verification or further inquiry if required by the journal or other legitimate parties.
Ethical and Legal Considerations
When research involves human participants, animals, or sensitive information, authors must ensure that data sharing complies with relevant ethical approvals, informed consent requirements, and applicable data protection regulations. Confidentiality and privacy of participants must be protected at all times.
Handling of Concerns
If concerns arise regarding the integrity or availability of data after publication, the journal will investigate in accordance with the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Appropriate action, which may include correction, expression of concern, or retraction, will be taken to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
The International Journal of Fundamental Research and Development expects all authors to act with honesty and responsibility in the handling of research data and to support the principles of open and trustworthy science.
