Reviewers Guidelines

The International Journal of Fundamental Research and Development relies on the expertise and integrity of its reviewers to maintain high standards of scholarly publishing. Peer review is an essential part of the editorial process. Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts fairly, objectively, and confidentially, and to provide constructive feedback that helps authors improve their work.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers should not share, discuss, or use the content of a manuscript for any personal or professional advantage. The identity of the reviewer must remain anonymous to the authors, as the journal follows a double-blind review process.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must declare any potential conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment. This includes personal, professional, financial, or academic relationships with the authors or the subject matter that could influence the assessment. If a conflict exists, the reviewer should decline the invitation promptly so that the manuscript can be reassigned.

Scope of the Review

Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript on the following aspects:

• Relevance of the work to the aims and scope of the journal
• Originality and significance of the contribution
• Soundness of the research design and methodology
• Clarity and accuracy of data presentation and analysis
• Quality of discussion and interpretation of findings
• Adequacy and relevance of the literature cited
• Clarity of writing and overall organisation of the manuscript

Reviewers should focus on the academic quality of the work rather than minor issues of language or formatting, unless these seriously affect understanding.

Preparing the Review Report

The review report should be clear, balanced, and constructive. It is helpful to begin with a brief summary of the manuscript, followed by major comments and then minor suggestions. Specific recommendations for improvement are preferred over general statements.

Reviewers should indicate one of the following recommendations:

• Accept
• Minor revisions
• Major revisions
• Reject

The recommendation must be supported by clear reasons based on the content and quality of the manuscript.

Timeliness

Reviewers are requested to complete their evaluation within the time frame indicated in the invitation letter, usually two to three weeks. If additional time is needed, the reviewer should inform the editorial office as early as possible.

Ethical Considerations

Reviewers should be alert to possible ethical issues such as plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or inadequate ethical approval for studies involving human participants or animals. Any such concerns should be reported confidentially to the Editor-in-Chief.

Recognition

The International Journal of Fundamental Research and Development values the contribution of its reviewers. Reviewers may request a formal acknowledgement of their service for institutional or professional purposes.

Reviewers who accept an invitation are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and academic responsibility throughout the review process.
