Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Fundamental Research and Development welcomes original research that advances knowledge in the natural sciences, engineering, technology, environmental studies, health sciences, social sciences, and related development fields. Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts carefully according to the guidelines below. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned without review.
Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, short communications, and methodological notes. All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format using Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and margins of at least 2.5 cm on all sides. Pages must be numbered consecutively.
The preferred structure of a manuscript is: Title page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if any), References, followed by Tables and Figures.
Title Page
The title page must include a clear and concise title, full names of all authors with their institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author’s complete postal address, email, and contact number.
Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be between 150 and 250 words. It must briefly state the purpose of the study, the methods used, the main findings, and the conclusions. Authors should provide four to six keywords that accurately describe the content of the paper.
Main Text
The Introduction should present the research problem and its significance. The Methods section must describe the procedures in enough detail to allow replication. Results should be reported clearly and supported by data where appropriate. The Discussion should interpret the findings in relation to existing literature, and the Conclusion should summarise the main contributions without introducing new information.
References
All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and every entry in the reference list must be cited in the text. Authors should follow a consistent style such as APA, Harvard, or Vancouver. Checking a recent issue of the journal is recommended to confirm the preferred format.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and accompanied by clear, self-explanatory captions. They may be placed at the end of the manuscript or submitted as separate files. All visual material should be of good quality and easy to read.
Ethical Requirements
Authors must ensure that the submitted work is original. The journal screens all manuscripts for plagiarism. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will lead to rejection.
Authorship should be limited to those who have made substantial contributions to the study and have approved the final version of the manuscript. All authors share responsibility for the content.
Any potential conflict of interest must be declared. If none exists, a simple statement confirming this should be included.
Research involving human participants or animals requires prior approval from an appropriate ethics committee. A statement confirming ethical approval and informed consent (where applicable) must appear in the manuscript.
Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online system or as instructed on the journal website. A cover letter confirming originality and that the work is not under consideration elsewhere must accompany the submission. All co-authors must approve the final version before submission.
Peer Review
Every manuscript first undergoes an editorial check for scope and completeness. Suitable papers are then sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Authors receive reasoned feedback, and the final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated handling editor.
Copyright and Open Access
Authors retain copyright of their work. Accepted articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence, which allows free access, sharing, and adaptation with proper attribution.
Article Processing Charges
There is no fee for submission. Any article processing charge that applies after acceptance is stated clearly on the journal website and becomes payable only after the manuscript has been accepted following peer review.
